1880s Bustle Gown Workshop 19-20 November 2011

On the 19-20 November 2011 Aylwen is running an 1880s bustle gown workshop in her Yarralumla garden studio. All you need to bring with you is a victorian corset that fits, your sewing kit, fabrics as indicated below and a working sewing machine that you are comfortable working on. Bodice Requirements:

45" wide fabricAll Sizes
Fabric2 3/4 yards
Interlining1 3/4 yards
NB. Interlining: Addicted to Fabric in Philip  and Spotlight in Queanbeyan sell heavy shapewell suitable for interlining. Please do not pre-wash this, just heavy duty hot steam iron. 

Bustle Overskirt Requirements:

Notions: 3/4 yards netting (optional), 5 yards tie strings (ribbon, tape, strings), hook and eye or other closures, five 5/8" buttons

Underskirt Requirements:

Skirt w/ ruffle and bouffant45" fabric - 4 1/4 yards
(60"- all sizes)
4 3/4 yards5 1/4 yards
Skirt w/ ruffle no bouffant45" fabric - 4 yards
(60"- all sizes)
4 1/2 yards5 yards
Skirt no ruffle w/ bouffant45" fabric - 3 yards
(60"- all sizes)

Yardages given are without nap. For with nap, all sizes: with ruffle/bouffant - 5 ½ yards, with ruffle/no bouffant - 4 ½ yards. with bouffant/no ruffle - 4 ¼ yards, no bouffant/no ruffle - 4 yards.
Notions: Hook and eye closures, 4 yards tie strings for bouffant (may use ribbon, tape, etc.) Optional: 2/3 yard netting for bouffant.

Do you know where it is possible to get an 1880's dress pattern? I would love to attend the workshop but i live interstate but would love to make one of these dresses but having a hard time getting my hands on a good pattern :)
