1880s Bustle Gown Workshop 19-20 November 2011

On the 19-20 November 2011 Aylwen is running an 1880s bustle gown workshop in her Yarralumla garden studio. All you need to bring with you is a victorian corset that fits, your sewing kit, fabrics as indicated below and a working sewing machine that you are comfortable working on. NB. Interlining: Addicted to Fabric in Philip  and Spotlight in Queanbeyan sell heavy shapewell suitable for interlining. Please do not pre-wash this, just heavy duty hot steam iron.

Notions: Hook and eye closures, 4 yards tie strings for bouffant (may use ribbon, tape, etc.) Optional: 2/3 yard netting for bouffant.

Do you know where it is possible to get an 1880's dress pattern? I would love to attend the workshop but i live interstate but would love to make one of these dresses but having a hard time getting my hands on a good pattern :)
