Dress, cape and hat worn by Kate Winslett as Marianne in the 1995 film adaptation of Sense & Sensibility. Kate Winslet wore this dress when she was carried in the rain by Willoughby, and later by Colonel Brandon.
Note that some photos are taken to show modern fastening methods of these 'film costumes', seen in July 2011 at Jane Austen's House Museum in Chawton where Jane spent the last eight years of her life.
