I've had another order from fabric.com arrive in the post. I love their fabric - I hunt through the collections to find period designs to use in my 1830s-1860s day dresses. As soon as it arrives I zigzag the cut edges of fabric, wash, dry and then iron with a hot steam iron before I cut out the pattern. Its a good weight fabric and the garments wear well.
The other online store I order from is Fabrics-Store.com - the one place online I buy my linen from. It is here that I find handkerchief weight linen for fine chemises, heavier weight for men's shirts and canvas linen for corsets and stays.
