Dear Friends
I have just returned from a visit to the Jane Austen Festival in Bath - it was fantastic as usual and gave me plenty of ideas for the running of our festival. Because of my absence, I've been delayed in letting you know that it is now the final week for the below-cost earlybird season 60-minute volunteer tickets to Jane Austen Festival Australia (18-21 April 2013). On the 21 October 2012 prices will rise to level 2, still at a discount but just not as much.
Tickets are available online at http://earthlydelights.com.au/janeaustenfestival/tickets or if you wish to avoid paying extra fees you can buy them at our Baroque, Rococo & Roll Ball this Saturday night at St Johns Church Hall in Reid from 7.30pm.
For those who haven't joined the chatter on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/JaneAustenFestival you may not be aware that in 2013 we see the return of the Friday Night Roast Dinner and for dance & costume enthusiasts, we have two balls - a Grand Napoleonic Ball on Saturday night and a Jane Austen Cotillion Ball on Sunday night. And last, but not least, for the active outdoors folk, we see a return of both the archery and the fencing. As usual the sewing and dance workshops continue, as well as a special Literary afternoon with international guests.
We'd also like to invite you to celebrate Jane Austen's Birthday with us on Sunday 16 December 2012 at a High Tea at the Hyatt in Canberra the day after our Christmas Carol Ball - and for those wanting to attend both the ball and the birthday tea, we have special discount tickets online at http://earthlydelights.com.au/dance-events/2012 . Numbers are limited for the tea, so please don't leave it to the last minute.
Warmest Regards,
Aylwen
