Dressing the Stars: British Costume Design at the Academy Awards July 2011

We went to see the Assembly Rooms in Bath today and stumbled across some pretty amazing costumes. I was only told off once for getting too close, trying to photograph the back of one of the gowns from the Duchess movie.
They were gorgeous up close, and I took many photos until the camera battery ran flat. Oh well, the iphone came to the rescue but the photos are not so good towards the end. See http://www.fashionmuseum.co.uk/whats_on/press_releases/2011/dressing_the_stars-1.aspx for more information.

Thanks for putting this up. I am the curator of the exhibition, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Your photos are great, I would love some copies if possible. My email is hobbs66@btinternet.com
I'll post your link on our blog, you are already on our fb page. Well done

Do you have any idea what the term "drunk dress" means - as in Costume 13g worn by Kiera Knightley in The Duchess?
Thanks
Lisa

Dear Yvonne
I loved this exhibition :) I'm happy to share the photos, I took more than shown here, also close ups that I'll be using in some of my own costumes. Would you prefer a CD of high resolution photos? My camera is a low-light camera for museum photography and it worked really well here.
Cheers, Aylwen
