Children's School Holiday Historic Fashion Sewing Classes for Girls & Boys

9.30am-11.30am ~ Small Classes ~ Morning tea provided ~ Suitable for girls and boys with some sewing experience

13-17 January 2014  "Beginner Class - Make a Day Cap (bonnet) or a gentleman's cravat". Mostly hand sewing.

20-24 January 2014  "Make a Jane Austen Dress or Shirt" 

27-31 January 2014  "Make a Jane Austen Spencer Jacket or Waistcoat"

Ages 9-17yrs. $125 per 5-day class, materials extra. Some homework will be advised.

Please bring your own sewing machine - make sure that you know how to sew forwards, backwards and zig zag and how to put your bobbin in and thread the machine.

If you live too far from Yarralumla you are welcome to ask Aylwen to come and teach a workshop in your area or think about buying some of the following books for children learning to sew. Buckles and Bobbins is suited for boys learning to sew.
