The Great Hall is an amazing sight - spanned by a large and sumptuously decorated hammer-beam roof and its walls hung with Henry VIII’s most splendid tapestries, The Story of Abraham.

Hampton Court Palace: The Great Hall
On arrival in London we checked in to our South Kensington Hotel, refreshed and then travelled to Hampton Court Palace. John, Aylwen & Alcuin took turn taking photos, with some rather interesting results, considering John wasn't wearing his glasses and Alcuin decided to hold the camera 'his way'.
The Great Hall is an amazing sight - spanned by a large and sumptuously decorated hammer-beam roof and its walls hung with Henry VIII’s most splendid tapestries, The Story of Abraham.

Ooh that ceiling. Gorgeous! I had no idea that even still existed after all the fires and calamities that have befallen England.
